Victory for our Fulton Pets! LifeLine Wins Bid Due to Mass Support

LIFELINE WON! The Petition is Now Closed. We did it! Thanks to your heartfelt dedication, citizens of Fulton County, GA and allover the world, our government was convinced to choose LifeLine a no kill organization to run our animal control and services.

At first this made news because there were so many emails from the Petition that the County Manager wanted to disqualify LifeLine (http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/story/20616742/supportive-emails-could-disqualify-shelters-bid-to-run-fulton-county-animal-services?utm_source=supporter_message&utm_medium=email), but the Commissioners voted today in a stunning turn of events to disregard that request and award the contract to LifeLine.

Commissioner Hausmann said in reference to the Petition emails
“The overwhelming support that the community showed for them was very impressive. Very impressive,” and that the emails helped convince her.

The vote for LifeLine was 6-1 and we couldn’t have done it without this Petition and your emails to let the Commissioners know how and why LifeLine was the only choice for our taxpayer dollars and the welfare of our county’s pets.

Today’s victory was a triumph for all Counties seeking animals shelters with a mission of saving all healthy and treatable pets instead of accepting the status quo of a “catch and kill” pound.

We are elated. Thank you again for your outpouring of support.
